Novosibirsk Museum of Railway Equipment
Novosibirsk museum of railway equipment named after N.A.Akulinin is located in the Soviet district next to Seyatel railway station. The museum is the largest beyond the Ural region.
It has the largest collection of over than 100 locomotives, electrical locomotives, and cars, which worked at railroads of Western Siberia. Moreover, there are Soviet passenger cars such as GAZ, Moskvich, and ZAZ, trucks, tractors and cross-country vehicles.
It was decided to create a museum since a lot of railway machines were stored. In 1998 the head of West Siberian Railway made a decision to open the museum. After exhibits were collected, the museum was opened. It is named after Nikolay Akulinin, who has created and headed the museum.
